Kirby has donated a site office cabin to Limerick Marine Search and Rescue to act as a command centre and provide secure storage for equipment at the water’s edge. The cabin will be used as a command centre during rescue activities and provide shelter for staff working on the riverfront.  It will also be used to store maintenance equipment for quick repair work on the boats and to reduce the time lost transporting equipment between the boats and the main building.

Terry Logan of Limerick Marine Search and Rescue said, “Time is of the essence in our work.  The cabin gives us easy access to equipment for our day-to-day operations on the slip.” Managing Director of Kirby, Fergus Frawley, officially handed over the cabin and commented, “The Limerick Marine Search and Rescue team provide an invaluable service to the Limerick community and Kirby are delighted to assist this voluntary association is some small way.”
