Kirby employees donate €2,500 to Milford Care Centre

  • February 7, 2017

Employees at Kirby are helping to support the vital work of Milford Care Centre by donating €2,500 to the charity.

The money was raised through a number of employee-led fundraising initiatives including a raffle for a signed Irish rugby jersey, kindly donated by Irish rugby player, Sean Cronin, and a novelty Christmas jumper day which was held at each of Kirby’s eight offices located across Ireland, UK and Europe. Their fundraising efforts were supported by Kirby with the company contributing to the fund.

The donation will go towards supporting Milford Care Centre who provide multiple services to the community.  These include Hospice at Home services, a Nursing Home, Day Care for both the Older Person and people with palliative care needs, and bereavement support for families.

Community engagement is very important at Kirby with the company supporting a significant number of charities and community initiatives each year. In 2016, Kirby donated over €70,000 in support of Irish charities including a €20,000 donation to Focus Ireland in December.
