Kirby shortlisted for Irish Building & Design Awards 2016

  • April 11, 2016

Kirby is delighted to be shortlisted for two awards at the prestigious Irish Building & Design Awards 2016.  These awards recognise excellence and innovation in Ireland’s building and design sectors.  Kirby has been nominated in the categories of M&E Contractor of the Year and BIM Initiative of the Year.

The M&E Contractor of the Year award recognises those companies who have demonstrated an ability to produce outstanding work within deadline and on budget. The past twelve months have been very positive for Kirby, having experienced a record growth in turnover and continued expansion across Ireland and the UK. We continue to deliver high-quality projects using innovative techniques and we place a huge emphasis on innovation and efficiency, applying best practice LEAN processes at every stage of the project lifecycle.

The BIM Initiative of the Year award recognises new ways of working in a BIM enabled environment to make project design, delivery and operation more effective. At Kirby, we apply an innovative approach to all project design and delivery by using BIM on every project. This approach allows us to engage early with our clients, facilitate effective collaboration and enables critical design issues to be resolved at an early stage, which in turn ensures project milestones and budgets are met.

The winners of these awards will be announced at the award ceremony which will take place at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on Friday April 22nd 2016.

Kirby has been nominated for a National Quality Award at the 2016 Q Mark Awards. This is the fourth year in a row that Kirby has received a nomination at the prestigious Q Mark Awards.
