December 3, 2015
Kirby is proud to support the vital work of COPE Galway and play its part in tackling the issue of homelessness by supporting the annual COPE Galway Sleep Out which takes place on Friday 4th December 2015.
Over 30 business leaders, including Kirby Group Operations Director, Mark Flanagan, will leave the comfort and security of their homes and sleep on the streets of Galway for one night in an effort to raise much needed funds for the prevention of homelessness.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mark Flanagan, Kirby Group Operations Director, said: ‘We at Kirby are very proud to support the vital work that COPE Galway carry out. We hope that our contribution will go some way towards improving the lives of those experiencing homelessness.’
Currently there are 18 families including over 30 children homeless in Galway. In 2015, COPE Galway supported 132 families, 511 individuals and 7 couples through their homeless service.
