PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was appointed main contractor for Porterstown 30MV Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

Kirby delivered the packaged electrical substation design and supply, MV, LV and communication cabling and civil works associated with the supplied and free issue equipment for Porterstown 30MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

Kirby scope of works included the design and build of electrical and civil works.

• SCADA (Build only)

Installed plant items include 4 nr. LV distribution boards, 6 nr. control & protection panels, 2 nr. battery system, 2 nr. transformers and 6 nr. 20kV GIS panels.

The total project meterage consisted of 20,000m of cable and 370 nr. joints / terminations.
