PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was responsible for the installation and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical services as part of a high end office fitout for the client.
The project consisted of roof plant, 3 nr. office floors, MDF, IDF, kitchen services and basement.

Kirby utilised the expertise of their in-house design team creating a 3D model using the latest software which coordinated all services.
This ensured high quality installation, minimised delays and provided the end user with a fully co-ordinated asset tagged asbuilt model.

SCOPE OF WORK

Kirby was responsible for the mechanical and electrical scope of works.

The electrical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Mechanical Plant Service Power
• Fire Detection & Alarm
• Earthing & Bonding
• Lightning Protection

The mechanical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Chilled Water
• Low Temperature Hot Water
• Supply and Extract Ventilation
• Kitchen Extract
• Fire Rated Ductwork
• Pre-Insulated Ductwork
• Natural Gas
• Boosted Cold Water Services
• Drainage and Grease Trap
• DX Split Systems
• Tridium BMS

Installed equipment and plant items include Air Handling Units, DX Split Units, Boiler, Grease trap, Fan Coil Units with Integral Controls and PIC Valve Set, Grilles, Dampers, and Fans.
The total project meterage consisted of 30,000m of cable, 2,000m of containment, 2,609m of carbon steel pipework, 1,067m of copper pipework, 863m of plastic pipework and 4,129m² of duct.
