It’s very important to us at Kirby to celebrate our people, who we highly value. It was therefore a great occasion to recognise our long service employees at a number of award ceremonies across the country recently. The events, held in Limerick, Dublin and Galway, saw over 80 employees in total honoured for more than 20 years of service with the company.

Recognising our long service team members during 2024 is particularly fitting as we celebrate Kirby’s milestone of 60 years in business and reflect on the people who have contributed so hugely and crucially to our success and achievements. It was wonderful for the wider Kirby team to join the long service employees in these celebrations; each of the three events were great occasions of storytelling, reminiscing and camaraderie.

It is testament to Kirby’s ongoing dedication to prioritising its people that so many staff choose to stay long term, enjoying careers that span decades of growth and progression. Indeed, many of our most senior team members at Kirby began as apprentices straight out of school and received outstanding training and development opportunities that enabled them to progress.

As we celebrate our long service employees, we also look to the future with optimism, as new graduates and apprentices continue to choose Kirby as a company with which to embark on career journeys. Kirby is in a period of huge growth and expansion, and as always, we underpin all achievements with our core values of People, Safety, Quality, Delivery and Value.
