PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was responsible for the Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) to facilitate the construction of the new 400/220kV East Anglia One onshore substation, connecting to the off-shore substation situated 30 miles off the East coast of East Anglia.
SCOPE OF WORK
Kirby scope of works included the design, installation and commissioning of:
• DC Battery Systems
• UPS
• LVAC system
Kirby scope of works also included the installation and commissioning of the following:
• Primary Equipment Transmission Connection
• Earthing and Bonding
• Control and Protection System
• Fibre Network
• Access Control, Intruder and CCTV
• SCADA
• Pirret Electrical – AIS
• Access Flooring – Flooring
• CSD – Sealing of ducts
Installed plant items included 3 no. distribution boards, 30 no. control and protection panels, 2 no. battery systems and AIS 400/275kV.
The total project meterage consisted of 59.5km of cable and 1,200 no. of terminations.
