PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was appointed as the mechanical contractor for a new manufacturing facility for Janssen.

This project involved the construction of a new building with a total floor space of 20,000m².

In addition to this the existing warehouse, laboratory administration building, support infrastructure and utilities were also expanded to support increased manufacturing capacity.

Kirby successfully installed 24,000m² of ductwork, plant and insulation.

SCOPE OF WORK

The mechanical systems installed by Kirby included:

• Supply & Extract Ventilation Distribution
• Server Room Air Conditioning
• QBAS Pipework

Installed plant items include 13 no. AHU’s, 8 no. CRAC units, 19 no. fans, 10 no. fancoil units, 57 no. heater batteries and 294 phoenix valves.
