Kirby has been awarded its eighth consecutive Gold Medal award at the prestigious Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards 2017.  These awards, which are open to businesses and organisations from across the UK and overseas, are awarded to companies who demonstrate outstanding health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Kirby will be presented with the award during a ceremony at the Hilton Glasgow hotel on Thursday, September 14, 2017, as the event marks its 61st year.

Barry O’ Brien, Group EHS Manager said “Kirby are very proud recipients of this Gold Medal award for eight consecutive years. Our submission is based on our EHS management system which is implemented by our people and supply chain and it is their commitment to accident and ill-health prevention that helps Kirby to maintain its success”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record.
