Kirby donates laptops to children’s charity
June 16, 2017
Kirby has donated a number of laptops to The Olive Branch for Children; a charity based in Tanzania. The laptops, which were no longer in use due to recent IT upgrades at Kirby, were sent to Tanzania and will support the charity in its commitment to helping remote communities gain access to early childhood education.
Diarmuid Lorigan, IT Graduate at Kirby oversaw the donation. Diarmuid knows first-hand the positive impact the laptops will have on the communities following his trip to Tanzania where he volunteered with the charity.
Founded in 2005, The Olive Branch for Children supports remote communities in Tanzania by assessing their primary needs, such as education and healthcare, and establishing programmes to support those needs.
