Kirby hosts Behavioural Safety Workshop
March 27, 2017
As part of our commitment to safety, Kirby, with support from Alexion and PM Group, hosted a behavioural safety workshop entitled ‘Overloaded’. Over 700 site employees attended the workshop which was held on site at the Alexion project on Wednesday, March 22nd. To facilitate the large attendance, two workshops were held; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
‘Overloaded’ is a safety behavioural workshop run by Theatre at work, a theatre-based training company. The workshop explores safety themes including risk awareness, workplace stress, safety culture, and accountability. Using drama-based techniques, the workshop examines how behaviours and attitudes can lead to incidents.
This is the latest theme in safety behavioural workshops that Kirby has hosted. Throughout 2015/2016, Kirby hosted ‘Through the Mousehole’ and brought this to all its operational staff and many clients. These workshops are part of Kirby’s endeavour to embed and sustain the foundations of a safe behaviour culture through safety partnership with the workforce.
Kirby is uncompromising when it comes to safety and quality. Kirby has a deeply embedded culture of safety and regularly hosts safety events to ensure this culture is sustained.
Thanks to everyone who attended the workshop and a special word of thanks to Alexion and PM Group for supporting the workshop.
