Kirby hosts safety workshops
June 2, 2016
As part of our commitment to safety, Kirby hosted ‘The Mousehole’; a health and safety workshop at a number of project sites across the UK with more workshops planned over the coming months. In March, a workshop was held for staff, contractors and client at the GSK Irvine project and last month, a workshop was held for staff and contractors at the GSK Worthing project.
‘The Mousehole’ is a safety behaviour workshop which focuses on responsibility, intervention and sustaining a culture of safety. The workshop depicts a scenario on an oil rig where a number of events take place which lead to a fatality on site. Actors play out the scene and following this, attendees are invited to uncover the attitudes and behaviours which contributed to the fatality.
The workshops have been very well attended and very well received with a number of contractors commending Kirby for hosting the workshops.
Kirby is uncompromising when it comes to safety and quality. Kirby has a deeply embedded culture of getting it right first time, safely and regularly hosts safety events to ensure this culture is sustained.
