Kirby is delighted to announce the installation of a large rooftop Solar System at our Limerick Office Headquarters in Raheen.

The final design allows Kirby to optimise morning and evening electricity generation and minimise mid-day peaks on the local grid.

Consisting of over 180 individual panels, this 85-kilowatt (kW) system will generate at least 50,000 units of electricity annually and reduce emissions by 17 tCO2e.

Since the system was energised in May 2024, it has generated almost 8,000 units of electricity.

This initiative is a key part of Kirby’s commitment to sustainability and reducing our its environmental impact.
