June 24, 2015
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in the UK have awarded Kirby a prestigious ‘Gold Medal’ after achieving six consecutive years of outstanding safety performance and six previous ‘Gold Awards’.
The ‘Gold Medal’ recognises an organisation’s sustained excellence in occupational health and safety performance. They are only awarded to organisations who can provide evidence of their rigorous health and safety management systems, supported by a concise portfolio of relevant documentation. Emphasis is placed on providing data which verifies the organisation’s safety claims.
After six consecutive years of outstanding safety performance, Kirby can now add the prestigious ‘Gold Medal’ to their haul of safety awards.
Ray Ryan, Director of QEHS at Kirby said, “Everyone in Kirby should be proud of their collective efforts to create an environment where we can all work safely.”
RoSPA are a registered charity who promote safety and the prevention of accidents at work, at leaisure, on the road, in the home and through safety education.
