Kirby sponsors defibrillator for local school

  • November 23, 2017

As part of its commitment to support local communities and initiatives, Kirby sponsored the costs of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Scartaglen National School in County Kerry.  In addition to the AED, Kirby also funded the cost of AED training which was provided to teachers, staff and members of the parents’ council.

John Ferris, Dan O’Riordan and Keith Devers (all Kirby) presented the AED to Paul Moroney, Principal of Scartaglen National School on behalf of the Kirby project team who are currently delivering work on a nearby windfarm.

Community engagement is very important at Kirby with the company supporting a significant number of charities and community initiatives each year.  Last week, Kirby was recognised for its outstanding contribution to the community at the Limerick Chamber Regional Business Awards.
