This is a special year for Kirby as we mark 60 years operating as a business that has gone from strength to strength, with our people at the centre of our achievements.

To celebrate, the company recently gathered our teams at eleven locations across Ireland, the UK, Sweden, Italy and South Africa for a series of events to express gratitude for their dedication and hard work.

As well as getting together to enjoy local hospitality, some of the teams took the opportunity to get active, with the Cape Town team enjoying a group run along a the Meerendal Trails in the Meerendal Wine Estate. The South Africa office is one of our newest bases and its talented team has quickly become an integral part of Kirby’s operation.

Bringing Kirby colleagues together always makes for an enjoyable occasion, with the added benefit of strengthening the ‘team’ identity across the great variety of skillsets working on our projects.

These events formed a significant feature of our milestone celebrations in 2024 as they provided the company with an opportunity to re-state the importance of our colleagues’ contributions. ‘People’ is Kirby’s number one core value and the company’s leadership is confident that along with our other principles of safety, quality, delivery and value, our fantastic people will be an essential element of the formula we need to continue our growth journey.
