PROJECT DESCRIPTION
On this Windfarm project, Kirby was responsible for the design and build of 2 number 38/20kV substations (ESBN & IPP sides) and the installation and testing of MV radial cabling feeding 14 number turbines for Castlepook 33MW windfarm and 6 number turbines for Ballyhoura 19MW windfarm.
Kirby successfully achieved an accelerated project delivery timeline and delivered the project 3 months ahead of schedule, safely.
SCOPE OF WORK
Kirby scope of works included the Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) contract of 2 windfarms (Castlepook and Ballyhoura) and associated ESBN contestable works .
Design, procurement, installation and commissioning of the 38kV Streamhill Substation for ESBN and the 38/20kV Castlepook Substation for ESB Wind.
