PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was appointed to complete the full electrical and instrumentation installation for a new API purification plant at a confidential client’s facility in Ireland.
The project was completed within a live pharmaceutical site with no interruption to production, while delivering the scope in an extremely congested ATEX zone 1 & 2 area to the highest standards.
Kirby was responsible for the fabrication, supply, delivery, RV, bench check, calibration, installation, testing, commissioning of the electrical and instrumentation services, including the hot and cold loops.

Installed plant items included 12 number IO panels, 5 number weighed scales, 2 number fume cupboards, 4 number HMI’s, 1 number vacuum pump system, 2 number drum booths, new distribution boards, fire alarm and vesda panels, gas detection, access control, BMS.
Total project meterage consisted of 48,000m of cable, 1,800m of containment, 504 instruments, 860 loops, 504 calibrations, 6,000m impulse piping, 860 number of I/O points, 1,080m of stainless steel containment (dairy tubing).
