PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby delivered full mechanical services as part of a multi million euro redevelopment at the Curragh Racecourse.
The project included the installation and commissioning of mechanical services in the 10,500m² Grandstand, Museum, Café/Bistro and Energy Centre. Kirby acted as the Lead Building Information Modelling (BIM) Coordinator, this allowed us to coordinate services and ensure high quality installation.

Installed plant items included 2 no. chillers, 2 no. boilers, 2 no. CWS tanks, 8 no. pumps, 4 no. pressurisation units, 6 no. AHU’s, rain water harvesting system, 12 no. extract fans, 4 no. smoke extract fans, 16 no. FCU’s, 46 no. VAVS, 6 no. A/C systems.
Total pipework consisted of 7,800m black utilities pipework, 5,000m of plastic pipework, 8,800m of copper pipework and 6,300m² of ductwork.
