PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was appointed to complete the electrical and mechanical scope of works for a new manufacturing facility at Edwards Lifesciences.
The project involved the fit-out of an existing fallow space to construct a medical devices production facility to an ISO 7 cleanroom standard.
The team worked within the existing live facility without impacting the clients production activities. The project was fully coordinated through the implementation of BIM which enabled Kirby to successfully deliver the project safely and on time.

Installed equipment and plant items included 7 nr. AHU’s, 1 nr. Humidifier, 1 nr. Heat Recovery Skid, 1 nr. Veolia Water Skid, 2 nr. MCC’s, 6 nr. DPU’s, 6 nr. SDB’s and 1 nr. Transformer.
The total project meterage included 40,000m of cable, 2,000m of containment, 1,200m of impulse piping, 450 instruments and loops, 18 nr. I/O, 800m of pipework and 7,500m² of ductwork.
