PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was responsible for the full 3D coordination and construction of mechanical, electrical/instrumentation and process pipework services for this project, which was an extension of an existing manufacturing facility. The project consisted of a production suite and laboratory which included the installation of an extraction skid and evaporator skid.
Kirby engaged with WSP CEL at the project initiation stage to validate the design criteria and carry out pre-construction coordination analysis. This key step enabled a controlled project initiation and structured delivery through construction, commissioning, project closure and handover phases.
SCOPE OF WORKS
Kirby scope of works included the complete installation of mechanical, electrical/instrumentation and process pipework services (MEP).

The total project meterage consisted of 46,000m of cable, 1,400m of containment, 630 number of instruments and loops, 291 calibrations, 930m of nylon and 468 of SS impulse piping, 10 number of I/O points; 660m of black utilities, 455m of copper pipework, 4m of clean utilities pipework and 1,800m² of ductwork.
