PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirby was appointed main contractor for Kylemore Way Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Station project.
Kirby carried out the civil and electrical design, construction of the electrical balance of plant works (eBoP) and commissioning associated with the Kylemore Way Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Station project. This included the design and build of the IPP Substation Compound, IPP Control Building (Modular Off Site Build PEC) and the 33kV cable radial system associated with the BESS plant.
The plant is connected to the ESB Distribution Network at Inchicore 110kV.

The total project meterage consisted of 18,000m of cable and 63 nr. joints / terminations.
