PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals project was a new bio-pharmaceutical facility built on an 11 acre greenfield site in West Dublin.

Kirby was responsible for the installation and commissioning of all electrical and instrumentation services for the manufacturing building, utility building, admin building and R&D building, with total manpower peaking at 97.

Kirby also managed the facility’s manufacturing equipment, which involved the tracking, RV to our off-site storage facility, storage, JIT delivery and positioning of €31m of equipment.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Kirby scope of works included the installation and commissioning of all electrical and instrumentation services.

Installed plant items included Generator, MV Equipment, Main Boards, PFC and MCCs.

The total project meterage consisted of 247,000m of cable, 68,000m of containment, 1872 number of instruments, 1100 number of loops, 780 number of calibrations, 176 meters of impulse piping and 2212 number of I/O points.
