Project Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Civil and electrical balance of plant contract for the Meenadreen Windfarm electrical infrastructure including Clogher 110 kV GIS switching station, Mulreavy 110 kV AIS tail-fed station and Mulreavy 110/33 kV, 120 MVA IPP sub-station. SCOPE OF SUPPLY

Design and build contract for the engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning (IPP Works only) of the electrical and civil works listed below

  • Contestable Works:
    • Clogher 110 kV indoor substation equipped with an 8 bay Siemens GIS 8DN8 switchboard complete with coupler, provision for future expansion of up to an additional 4 Bays and associated control and protection.
    • Mulreavy 110 kV Tail-Fed AIS sub-station.
    • Diversion of existing 110 kV OHL circuits via 4no. end mast structures and 4no. 110 kV , 1600mm sq Cu underground power gridline circuits.
    • 8 KM underground gridline between Clogher and Mulreavy sub-stations.
    • Design and installation of the above components in compliance with EirGrid Functional Specification.
  • IPP Works:
    • Mulreavy IPP 110 / 33 kV sub-station including, 120MVA power transformer, 10 Bay 33 kV switchboard and associated control and protection systems.
    • Extensive 33 kV Wind Farm power and fibre optic cable system (separate contract).
