PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was appointed main contractor for the Mountgorry 38kV Station uprate.
Kirby delivered the electrical installation of 2 nr. cubicle 38kV busbar extension, 15MVA Trafo installation, 4 nr. cubicle 20kV busbar installation, fence demolition and installation and civil works associated with busbars, transformers, ducting and fencing.

SCOPE OF WORK

Kirby was responsible for the electrical installation and civil scope of works.

• Earthing & Bonding
• Control & Protection System
• MV Cable Connection System
• Transmission Underground Cables
• Distribution Underground Cables

Installed plant items include 1 nr. 38/20kV 15MVA transformer and 38 & 20kV AIS switchgear. The total project meterage consisted of 2,000m of LV cable and 200m of MV cable.
