Mylan expanded its manufacturing facility in Inverin, Galway. Kirby was responsible for the installation of all mechanical services to serve new Grade B, C and D cleanrooms, built to hold a new compounding suite, filling line and 2 no. freeze driers. All works were completed within a ‘live environment’.

Kirby implemented Building Information Modelling (BIM) to coordinate project delivery and prefabricated and installed a stainless action platform for the compounding room and all external pipework offsite. Kirby successfully coordinated offloading and positioning of all mechanical and process equipment. During a 6 week period, approximately 30 trucks delivered over 100 pieces of equipment of various weights from 100kg to 26,500kg. This involved coordination of multiple stakeholders from Ireland, Europe and North America. This approach ensured minimised disruption to the client and optimised efficiency.
