PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Kirby was contracted by Siemens to undertake all electrical and instrumentation works associated with the construction of a new 842MW CCGT gas-fired power station.

With manpower peaking at 90, the works undertaken by Kirby on this particular project included the installation of all electrical containment systems, MV/LV/EV cabling and terminations, instrumentation piping and controls, bus-duct installation from the main outgoing transformers to the turbine generators and assembly of all power control centres (PCCs).

Efficient approach to materials management, highest safety and quality standards and specialist in-house expertise bus-duct installation, assembly of PCCs and impulse and pneumatic tubing were key to the successful delivery of this power generation project.
